Slieve League

Among Europe's highest sea cliffs — wild and uncrowded

Slieve League on Donegal's southwest coast has sea cliffs rising to around 600 metres above the Atlantic — among the highest in Europe, and considerably taller than the better-known Cliffs of Moher, though far less visited. A narrow ridge called One Man's Pass runs along the edge toward the summit and is only suitable for sure-footed walkers in good weather. On a clear day the view extends across Donegal Bay to the islands offshore.
